Having visited the foundation in 2014 and in 2019 we have grown a great affiliation for the incredible work the foundation is doing to equip the next generation of Colombian farmers. This holiday season we're proud to be supporting Formemos Foundation with a donation of 10% of our profits. Our aim to help sponsor the education and costs for at least one whole child for one year.
ABOUT FORMEMOS FOUNDATION
"We educate the countryside for the country life."
Founded in 1992, Formemos Foundation is a not-for-profit that provides education, board, agricultural skills and crop-to-cup coffee training to displaced country children across Colombia.
Accepting children from as young as 6 who have been displaced by the violence of Colombia's civil war, Formemos is run entirely by government assistance and public donations.
Donations made to Formemos directly impact the livelihood of a child in need through board, food, schooling and agricultural-coffee farming training.
COFFEE SCHOOL
Children are taught to grow, harvest, grade, roast and prepare coffee by esteemed professionals and coffee experts. The skills they are learning are invaluable for the continuation of coffee and farming in Colombia as they plant native varietals to ensure that coffee farming stays for generations to come.
